Organized Chaos doesn’t have nearly as much darkness as previous albums, and makes an attempt on implementing various other genres like nu metal and metalcore. Dave Hunt, who was the new vocalist for this album, is one of the founding members of the progressive grindcore act Anaal Nathrakh (using the name V.I.T.R.I.O.L.). and the rock-solid death metal base that Benediction has always had, is still there. The headbanging parts have a lot of groove and none of the musicians lack any sort of skill or creativity. The drumming is good as always, the guitars are very deep and crunchy, the bass kills when you have your subs turned up, and the vocals have a powerful sound!

Darkenhöld emerged in 2008 as a trio composed of Aldébaran, Cervantes and Aboth, with the ambition of creating a melodic, epic, atmospheric Black Metal imbued with the spirit of the 90s from which the band has always drawn most of its influences. The band’s universe was established from the beginning around a dreamlike medieval imagination, roaming the deep forests, high mountains and mysterious caves of the South-East of France where the band is from. The old stones of fortified castles, fantastic bestiaries, tales and legends, the dense and complex landscapes of the Côte d’Azur are the sources of inspiration for a Black Metal that first stood out with the release of two self-produced split-CDs in 2009, mixing covers with original compositions. Introducing the group’s emblematic animal, the Wyvern, and laying the first foundations of its universe, they prepared the ground for the release of a first album, “A passage to the towers…”, released in 2010. The group would then release a second album, defended throughout a French tour, before introducing the French language in its third album, “Castellum”, which would open new horizons for them. The release in 2017 of their fourth album, “Memoria Sylvarum”, released as a self-production, would see the group access larger stages, culminating in a well-received performance at Hellfest in 2018. The year 2020 marked a further step with the signing of the group to the label “Les Acteurs de l’Ombre Productions” and the release of their fifth album, “Arcanes et Sortilèges”. Coming out of the covid period which will put a brake on the band’s rise, Darkenhöld returned to live activity in 2022 before starting the composition of their sixth album, “Le Fléau du Rocher” to be released on June 6, 2025.Side A:

Cult Japanese black metal legends Sigh formed in 1989/90, featuring mainman Mirai Kawashima, Satoshi Fujinami & Kazuki Ozeki.
Following initial demos, Shinichi Ishikawa was brought into the band. It was following this shift that Sigh set about recording the masterpiece debut ‘Scorn Defeat’ for the then-Mayhem guitarist Euronymous’ Deathlike Silence Productions, going on to become one of the country’s greatest & most revered metal exports.
With a journey through the strange & the psychedelic, incorporating a whole eclectic mix of genre styles & experimentation throughout their career, Sigh has remained a vital creative force in the avantgarde field. However, at its core, Sigh has always remained true to its roots of old school metal & 2022’s ‘Shiki’ album represented a new high point for the band, encapsulating all that was endearing about Sigh, with a perfect mix of styles & injection of eastern flair.With a title referencing the band’s original underground live release ‘The Eastern Force Of Evil’ released back in 1997, this new performance captured recently in Japan features the line-up of founder & mainman Mirai Kawashima on bass/vocals, Dr. Mikannibal on vocals/saxophone, Nozomu Wakai on guitar & Takeo Shimoda on drums.
