SUNSTRIKE – war, ecstasy and death – DIGICD

Sunstrike unleashes their debut album entitled ‘WAR, ECSTASY and DEATH’. These three words, with their evocative power, serve as the band’s mantra. Sunstrike is offering us an album with an old-school approach but not lacking in piquancy and personality, which was already the case on the 1st EP ‘Moira’.

We find the same musical influences, the same types of themes rooted in European mythology and spirituality (‘Apotheosis’ is introduced with an extract from Homer’s ‘Odyssey’), but in a form that is clearly more intense in every respect. Indeed, the band’s style is more refined, more effective and charged with a more pronounced epic dimension. On the other hand, the tracks are far more aggressive, and take a frontal approach (‘Solar Dynasty’ for example).

Sunstrike doesn’t follow fashions and inscribes its creative energy in a certain tradition of Extreme Metal. The 8 tracks of WAR, ECSTASY and DEATH demonstrate this perfectly and invite us to approach life as a tragic struggle that pushes us to surpass ourselves at every moment!
