“December 1, 1923, 7.15 am. A roar is heard, then the fury of the water sweeps away the towns of Bueggio and Dezzo, continuing to devastate and claim victims all the way to the valley floor, in Corna. The Gleno came down. The dam built in the post-war years, in a hurry, with inadequate materials and negligence, collapsed shortly after its commissioning. 356 confirmed deaths, plus an uncertain number of missing. “

Skalf is a unique concept inspired by the landscapes of Val di Scalve.
This EP “Vallis Decia-le voci dei dispersi” is focused on the tragedy of Gleno, where a dam collapsed in 1923 and caused hundreds of deaths. Each song has the name of a village swept away by the fury of the water and tells about the Tragedy through the voice of a missing person

Skalf is: Tiziano Valente (guitars, composition) & Filippo Magri (bass, vocals, lyrics). Guest musicians: Abibial from Imago Mortis (vocals on song “Dezzo”), Daniele Valseriati from Tragodia & The Scars in Pneuma (drums), and Simone Grazioli from Hell Spet (all guitar solos)

“Vallis Decia-le voci dei dispersi” comes in a 3-part Digipack with a picture printed CD. Limited edition to 300 copies.
