After 20 years in the metal scene, ATROX mark the occasion with their 5th album “Binocular”. The fourth album “Orgasm” (2003, Code666) marks the end of an era as it’s the last album with extravagant female vocalist Monika Edvardsen.“Binocular” shows an important change in the vocal department and an extensive use of electronics and computers. The word “foscor” translates as “darkness” in the band’s native Catalan tongue.
Which Barcelona’s FOSCOR often uses for their lyrics as a distinctive element and strong connection with their cultural reality. The band is attracted to and build upon these foundations, while taking inspiration from the morbid, decadent, and sick reflections on a rapidly changing society that shaped the artistic landscape at the end of the nineteenth century.
