When Cynic reunited in 2007, all hell broke loose and rightfully so. Their first album was an instant classic that fused jazz and progressive rock with classic ‘90s death metal. But when Paul Masvidal got back together with his fellow band of aliens in Sean Malone and Sean Reinert, the band ascended to an even higher level of spiritual musicianship on their highly-anticipated follow-up.

‘Traced in Air’ weaves calculated math-rock melodies with loose, lush soundscapes into moments of pain and joy. For years, this album was only available on CD. Now, it‘s being reissued on vinyl by Season of Mist for the first time.
